Study quality in terms of multiculturalism in the Baltic Countries (NPHZ-2017/10151)

The Baltic network worked together to examine how internationalization and immigration influence the study quality in educational institutions, and to suggest suitable activities to ensure study quality under the circumstances of internationalization.

The project involves 10 partners from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Main coordinator of project is Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences, Estonia.

During the project period (September, 2017 – December, 2018) partners from different educational levels shared their experiences through seminars bringing synergy to the project and its approach for better study quality.

Two network seminars were held – the first in Lithuania (Karaliaus Mindaugas Vocational Centre, Kaunas) and the second – in Latvia (Turiba University, Rīga) where representatives of the partners discussed and analysed best practices concerning the study quality in multicultural classroom.

The aim of the study was to create a study quality assurance model in terms of multiculturalism from the perspective of a teacher, and the model is supported by theoretical background. As a matter of fact, the theory of study quality works for every classroom, no matter which part of the world. The specifics about the Baltic States multicultural classroom are given in Practical Guidelines for Teachers that are based on the cases collected from the project partner schools.

Project results was presented in the Conference on the 26th of October, held in Tallinn Health Care College, Estonia.

The beneficiaries from the project are the partners, students, staff and other stakeholders. Project have had cross-boarder cooperation, as well the created handboook-brochure is giving opportunity to share this information and best practices not only within the project partners but also outside the partner consortium.
